The Olympic Torch is coming to the Felbridge Hotel
The Felbridge Hotel & Spa has welcomed the news that the Olympic Torch will be coming past the hotel and then through East Grinstead on the morning of Tuesday 17th July 2012. We are planning on marking the event by serving Olympics inspired food and drinks on tables set on the roadside so that guests can enjoy a bite to eat while taking in the unique atmosphere that the Olympic Flame is set to bring to the local area.

We have also created a special accommodation package to include accommodation and meals which will ensure you don’t miss the Flame. Mid Sussex is a beautiful part of the country with many historic buildings and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty so it is no surprise that the Olympic Flame has been attracted to the area.

Parking Onsite
We are offering a parking service at the hotel on this momentous occasion too. For £10 per vehicle you can have peace of mind that we will be looking after your vehicle while you can then watch the processsion from the roadside. And for those of you that are more energetic you could make a day of it and follow the flame into East Grinstead and return to the hotel later that day.
The Olympics Package
On 27 July, 2012, the eyes of the world will be on London for the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games as the Olympic Flame arrives at the Olympic Stadium to signify the start of the Olympic Games. We will be showing all the coverage of the Opening Ceremony and the Olympics events in The Qube Bar area on our two Large Screen TV’s along with some truly Olympics inspired cocktails and drinks.
We will be celebrating the Olympic Games itself by serving up a number of accommodation packages to suit all budgets. We don’t feel that the thousands of spectators that are set to descend on London need to stay in a London Hotel when they can stay in a beautiful 4 star hotel with convenient links to London? The hotel has easy access to London through public transport links, with Central London being a mere 45 minute journey from the hotel.

Transport Links
The Gatwick Express takes just 30 minutes from Gatwick Airport to London Victoria. The hotel is linked from Gatwick by bus route 400 or is a 15 minute taxi ride away. Additionally train services from East Grinstead operate to London Bridge or London Victoria in 50 minutes. East Grinstead Station is linked to the hotel by bus routes 281, 291 & 400 or is a mere 5 minute taxi journey away. If using public transport is not for you, then we can arrange private transfers to the Olympic Venues too.

Local Attractions
On our doorstep is the ancient market town, East Grinstead, which boasts a treasure trove of attractions including Standen, a late Victorian House and Garden, which is hidden at the end of a quiet Sussex lane and offers breathtaking views over the High Weald and Weirwood Reservoir. Even the local transport has a sense of history with heritage steam trains running through the beautiful Mid Sussex countryside on the Bluebell Railway line.
